RV 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9
Our VG Kit for the RV4 reduced the stall speed
by 6 knots and greatly improved
the low speed handling characteristics. There is
no reduction in top speed.
The VGs allow shorter take off and the ability to
climb out at a higher angle of
attack. Vortex generators greatly improve the
aileron control at slow speeds.
Our VG Kit installed on the RV 6A reduced the stall speed
by 5 to 6 knots.
The VGs provided more positive aileron control at at slow speeds.
Our VG Kit installed on the RV 9A reduced the stall speed by 6 knots
on a clean stall.
With 50% flaps the stall speed was reduced 5 knots and with
full flaps it was
reduced 1 knot. The VGs also improved the low speed handling
characteristics.
